Wow, waited a whole hour before bumping huh :)

Could be the IAC, pull it off and clean it with TB cleaner then reinstall. That alone may do it. Also check that the vac line is fine while you are there.

Also have you been using your defog setting on the heater lately? If so that can cause the AC to cycle on and off creating a surge off idle.

ha, yea, i wanted to know whats happening to my stang. I guess im either gonna get a new one from NAPA, or try to clean it, but the ford garage said it was really nasty when we first took it in when I got it. They said They cleaned it the best they could, and it would need replaced down the road, so I guess that means now, huh.

Thanks man, Im gonna try the T/b cleaner first.

One thign you do not want to do in repairing a vehicle is DIAGNOSE to a part. Meaning you dont say this part has these symptoms so it must be that. You look at your symptoms, and go from there you dont just say well this part sounds lke it could be this so lets try that. Diagnose, then repair

yep, when I first got it it was idling funny, so we took it to the local ford garage, and they cleaned it and said it was running fine, but when It gets colder, if it does the same thing its gonna need replaced to come back in. So im just gonna do it myself and save some cash.

Thanks guys!

Yes, this is the piece on the front of the upper plenum that has a hose leading to your intake pipe, two bolts and one wire harness, simple swap

Yes, just remove and spray the IAC completely with carb cleaner. As for the MAF I used a special MAF cleaner they had on the shelf of my local Carquest.
