Idle issue high one day low to nothing the next.

I have a 5 speed GT of course.

A couple weeks ago, my car wouldn't run unless I gave it gas or it would die, now yesterday and a week back for a small amount of time it would idle high high enough to never need to give it gas between shifts of even leaving first gear. When it idled down low needing gas to run, a vaccum hose was loose and after I pushed it in tighter it idled smooth. But I have now idea whats causing it to idle high. Would vaccum lines make it idle high? Is it cause the IAC is dirty?
Tomorrow morning I'm gonna clean the IAC.

I also noticed after highway speeds using cruise control, it later went away.

Vacuum leak would cause erratic idle not what your having. while your cleaning your iac also clean the maf . also unplug you batt so the puter has a chance to read the new info after the cleaning. are you getting any cel's and what are they?

Also my car sputters badly at full throttle now. I can never put my foot down. It flutters sorta speak at full thottle.

Any rules when cleaning the MAS? Water only? I really hate taking my FIPK apart so I want to do this right the first time.

Tuned up,he refers to oil change,wires,plugs,dizzy.

It could be a bad plug wire.

Spark plugs and wires are about a Year old. Ford racing 8mm wires, Motorcraft spark plugs.

changed oil about 2 1/2 months ago, trans never, real end 2 years ago.

the MAF is inside the air filter housing some have bought maf cleaner from a parts supplier and shoot it at the maf. others (myself included) remove the maf and use a q-tip and alcohol or contact cleaner to clean the filiment. the miss could be caused by a bad plug or plug wire or even a plug wire thats been melted and shorting out on a header
