I have done the base idle reset . I was wondering what does the allen head screw next to the IAC valve control ??? Does it affect the operation of the IAC ?

The problem is , my idle hangs up when you push in the clutch . It hangs up around 1500 for about 3-5 seconds before dropping all the way down.

Thanks for the help !!!!!!

I've checked for a leak ,and all vacuum lines are new .....The idle is steady when sitting at idle.....

I was just looking for some insight on the allen head screw next to the IAC valve .........

It's the idle air bleed screw. The IAC valve is only a fully open or closed solenoid. The screw if adjusted properly allows for air to bypass a closed throttle so the engine can idle if the IAC is in the closed position. The screw on average is about 1 1/2 turns open from it's seated position. Any adjustment of the screw needs to be in small steps and once set shouldn't need to be adjusted further. When you buy a new TB it is preset at the factory. I've never needed to change that setting since the TB was installed years ago.
