so i posted awhile back to get some ideas on fixing my 94 5.0 idle surge.. Its has b303 cam, gt40x heads, 24lb injectors, replaced iac, cleaned the MAF, but it still surges... However it only does it when you first start it, whether its at operating temp or cold. It could be when i first start it up in the morning or when i start it after taking a long ride... It will hanging around 1200 rpms then drop and rise until i put it in 1st and move or feather the gas. Then it disappers and idles fine for the rest of the ride or until i shut it off and start it back up.

I would say that a tune would take care of your problems. Although it might be a vacuum leak too.

I've definitly gonna test for vaccums leaks soon, but with how the surge isnt constant and comes and goes im postive its not a computer issue even though sn's are notorious for their strubborn computers... ill post and let you guys know if i find its a vaccum leak.
checking back in on this post.. a buddy of mine told me to take the iac back off and dissonnect the battery to reset the ecm.. Then put the iac back on and run it for an hour or two.. so i did that and pretty much ironed out all my problems.
