There wasn't a reliable adjustable cam gear when I did mine. you'd hate to have it slip and blow up your motor.
I did have mine degree'd, which is a good suggestion.

you'll have to call powerheads about the cams, they're not listed separately on their site.

The Comp 270's have a very noticable idle, you can definatly make it more noticable then my car for where you leave the idle. I had mine set at 900, and ive heard when people leave it around 700. Personally I dont care how the car sounds when it idles, as long as it runs good, makes healthy hp (not to the edge) and runs consistant. Its when you tell your tuner "make this thing sound like an animal when idling" that your going to sacrifice reliability.

As far as adjustable cam gears, Nick @ Modular Head Shop sells them and they workwell, how ever I will be degreeing my cams and using STOCK gears, and just grinding the keyway.

Talk to Nick over at MHS and get a recomindation from him, he'll set you up.

Also, you really dont need to spend $300 on adjustable cam gears...just grind the keyways like Duff said. My builder did that for my 5.4 and its been running like a champ. If you really want to though, get nice ones, and make sure to loc-tite the **** out of them.

I've been very happy with my Stage 2.5 N/A cams from Cushman Motorsports. Jim Cushman, who will actually discuss your needs at length, is the designer of the famous VT cams. These puppies do love nitrous. Ground by Bullitt they come in at .571"/.567" lift, 230/237 .050 duration, 109 LSA. They may not be for everyone as they come on strong (at least in my case) about 3500 and run hard right out the back door. I'm sure there are a number of really good cams out there and this is one of them. I'll try to include video but I'm not sure this will work so I'll give a link, too.

stock bottom end = MHS

or notched piston bottom = MHS/COMP/HITECH/CMS/VT's

pick one, call/PM/email the manufacturer your combo and expectations and let them make a suggestion....

i absolutely HATE people that decide on a cam based on sound or someone elses experience with it. modulars are very finicky with cam selection. most N/A modular cams worth mentioning really need notched pistons.
