I admit im a bad owner, but times are changing now!

I admit:

I had the same brakes on my car for over 4-5 years. Just got the front changed since they were paper thin.

My clutch is knocking because either someone installed it wrong or the throwout bearing is crappy

My differintal has been leaking for years and i havent did anything about it.

I let my wipers get down to the ******* metal and messed up my windshield

My rear tires are so bald and bad its dangerous now

Now im getting a strange noise from the rear end.. it might be the tires since there crappy

My ball joint almost broke on me.. got that replaced last week.

And now it seems my car looks so crappy to me. Im tired of it. I take a look @ the member ride here and look @ all the other cars and wish it was mine. But i want everything at once and thats what im keeping me from working on my car. Before i can touch the looks of my car i gotta get my clutch fixed. My radiator fixed and maybe a freaking head gasket. Part of me wants to work on the looks of my car and make it look kick ass like you guys, but than ill have mechanical problems still. So :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: :angry4: im a bad owner.

1st thing im doing is getting my tail pipes back on ( that should be easy and cheap) than i should have the clutch looked at. :headbang:

Before you start modding the car learn to do the regular maintenance. Then again you can probably replace most of your worn out or broken parts due to lack of maintenance w/ aftermarket parts.

Other peoples cars on this site look nice and are fast and have lots of HP b/c they take care of them. Get on the ball.

=[ i know its just been hard. Went from a 100 dollar a week job to $200 a week for alittle.. than laid off for 2 month. Its been rough for years. Just been paying insurance and gas you know.

Today i seen a 03-04 cobra and there rare in my "HOOD" and it looked so nice. I wanna be able to look better than his terminator with my ole GT, so i have work to do. And i dont wanna do it because of him, but im seeing more and more mustang that look better than mine in my "hood" and that not right lol.

Here is my current work list:

Clutch
Head Gasket
Springs and the rear diff.
Cobra Bumper
Cobra Hood
New rims (cobra r's are the crappy)
New Vert Top
Styling light Bar
Go back to smoke lights (non projectors) with my hids
acouple more things. I really dont need speed as i dont race.

thats it really :icon_salut:

well thats different, not like your just ignoring issues at least there is a reason.

That's good that you have a list. Take care of the more serious things first such as the leak in the rear end before you end up buying new differential. Pick away at it and you will eventually get it all done

I want mine to be an immediate show car. But I know it not realistic. I have been frustrated for years. I am on my third Mustang. I started with a 95 v6 and had it modded up nicely and hit someone that ran a red light. Got another one. About a year and a half ago it was hit sitting in front of my house. Another one totaled. I used the insurance money from that one and bought a 95GT.

I bought that one with some body damage but the money was right. I now have it in the shop getting the damage fixed and a fresh coat of paint. I also have the Saleens coming next week. I was going to use that money to start building a new engine but I changed my mind because I was worried about rust.

Just remember a little at a time. And enjoy the trip. I feel more pride in the accomplishment than I do the possession of it.

See, that's the good part about driving a beater all winter, it makes me forget the issues I have with my car, then when I drive it again, it feels like a million bucks to me! Most of our cars are 11-15 years old now, we can't expect them to run like a brand new car without help. Im in the process of fixing mine up and I get lots of compliments on how it doesnt look as old as it's year is. Take care of your car and it will treat you back the same way, I have only had 2 unplanned expenses in the past 2 years with my car and thats A) dead battery and B) dead starter. My clutch chatters a bit, but thats because my brother didn't lead it seat properly and warped the flywheel.

As I said, treat your car with respect and it will show.

hehe, people love my car and an older buddy said, "people see a nice car, but your the only one that knows the problem about it." Which is true as i down the car so much, but every job i get my CAR is always talked about or "oh your the one with the mustang". So, its not bad as i make it out to be, but since i know all the problem it seems bad to me.

Soooo true! Then again, someone a few streets over from me bought a teal 1994 GT and it looks decent, auto-box and Cherry bomb mufflers(YUCK!) but it looks in decent shape. Most SNs on the street in my city are V6 ones that have seen their fair share of abuse. My manager at work thought mine was a 2002 Mustang :S.

You gotta stop picking on your car and remember if you take care of it it will take care of you. You can not expect to have a show winner overnight it takes time, money & patience. Your car looks nice! I bought my car from an impound where it sat for like 3 years but you could never guess that it did good luck. And where are you at you may not be to far from me looking to try to meet new people that are into the stang thing.

do you have coolant in your oil? or is the oil milky? if not maybe try some "restore" next oil change to help bring back compression in the low cylinder.

I agree with the others your rearend should be top priority, as that can be costly to get redone.

take your time and just fix the problems. If you try and do everything at once, you will get burnt out and end up like me. On your 3rd stang in 4 years....and kicking yourself for getting rid of the prior two.
