Yesterday on my way back to school I felt something weird in my steering. Next thing i know the steering wheel is spinning in a complete circle and I'm crossing over two lanes of traffic. After barely missing a car I smoke the curb and head down an embankment towards the woods. The car stopped just before the woods in the grass. After i sat there numb for a few minutes I looked under the dash and saw the steering shaft flopping around. I don't know wtf happened. I am at school now and my car got towed back home so I don't know the full details, but i know i broke a wheel and had at least one blown out tire. It was some scary shit and im happy to be typing this.

Anything happen like this to you guys?

Not on a Mustang but on a '64 Galaxie luckly we were turning into a parking lot and the steering ball came out of the rack. We hit the curb @ 5 mph or so, no damage to the car.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, glad to hear your ok!

Lucky escape dude .
I remember coming back from a friends house one night. I had my Cosworth for about a year and half and was happy with it and used to the power. It was dark and I was on a quiet road I knew well. I thought, "why not? give it the beans".
120 mph, just lost it. The car drifted broadside for a bit and I was in full opposite lock trying to catch it , one way, then another. Wheels clipped the banking but luckily by that time the speed had dropped off and she pirouetted and came to a stop. Lost my rear bumper and lights. That was it. Shat my pants.

21 lb of Boost and cow $hit on a greasy road don`t go. :nono:

One time I was driving my old beater ranger and I was getting onto the interstate. I was running threw the gears to get the little 4.0v6 up to speed and I pulled the shifter out of the transmission. lol I just had to coast to a stop on the shoulder but it was still pretty scary. I would have crapped myself if my steering wheel did that.

Lol, yeah I graduated in 08 though. I used to know a couple people who played there, dont know if they still do. Kyle Ketcherside is one of them. But yeah if you need any help like I said just shoot me a pm. I know there was a guy locally selling 4 pony wheels with good tires for like 200 bucks on craigslist, if you need something to get you by since your cobra r broke.
