next three mods i believe will be gears, tune, headers in no specific order.. i haven't decided what first..

since i already have an o/r hpipe, could i get it cut down and have the flanges welded on to it to fit up to the longtubes if i bought them? or no?

you can have someone modify your mmidpipe to work, but imo it isn't worth the hassle and the extra money....you are better off buying a new shirty midpipe and selling the one you have now.

my dad has a friend that builds drag cars.. tubular frame chassis, fiberglass bodies, engines, drivetrains... the whole deal.

he can help me fabricate my pipe so it would more than likely be free or less than 50 bucks.

Headers, gears, tune. No sence in getting a tune then putting headers on it and having to get a retune. Get ceramic coated headers, you will be glad you did. Keeping the heat in the header tubes lowers under hood temps, and creates more vacuum for better exhaust flow. With the added + of not burning yourself on hot headers, although that is not a big issue with 4v's.
