inconsitant times

Hey,

New to the forum, Had some problems last year with my times. I have an 04 gt with 4:10 gears, offrd pipe,borla stinger exhaust no converters, CAI, 70mm TB, underdrives, TR3650 trans. MY times can vary greatly from 8.47 to 9.50 through out the day. My question is this car does not have a tune in it with these mods ck engine light is on due to the catless exhaust. I know having a 5sp is not helping but I know my car pretty well and when to shift. but my question is could not having a tune be a part of this. MY 60 ft is what suffers can go from a 1.70-2.1 quite frustrating. I have tried everything i know to try as far as suspension, tires (running et streets),pinion angle adjustment. The car sounds and feels strong no drivablility issues at all the runs fell the same for the most part but the times are very inconsistant. thanks in advance

If your MPH is basically the same every pass, that tells you the car is running good at the big end of the 1/8th, but your issue is either spinning the tires or bogging at the starting line. I would guess its spinning. With MT ET/streets, you should be able to launch around 2000 or 2500 and not spin the tires. Are you leaving harder than that? If your breaking the tires loose off the line, babying it off the starting line feels slower, but gets you better 60 foot times that spinning out of the hole.

1.76 8.66 77.88 all of these times are launching at 5k, DA was realitivly close most of the day
1.70 8.47 80.61* this run is my quickest ever
