If you can stick a magnet to them, you have iron heads. Send in some pictures and we’ll figure out if they’re stock or not

I can get my crystal ball and tarot cards. For a small charge I can tell you if they are aluminum as well as what you need to do to find the woman in your dreams at the same time. 2 for 1 special just this week in fact but only for another 48 hours. Being psychic I already know you want to give me your credit cards so just pm me.

If the motor is stock they’re cast iron heads. Give us pics and info.

Car tuned at all or cammed? Should have hit the limiter at 6250.

They are aluminum heads that's why I was asking about them

Uuuhhhh.......the first thing you posted you were trying to figure out if the were iron or aluminum. Did we miss the post where you came back and told us what the heads are???

Factory heads are iron and your post made it sound like they are factory

I don't think it's stock the guy I traded with said I had a small cam in it and that's about all I know about it I do know that it revs real quick but it does have stock rocker arms on it

Ok I think there could be a few issues. I can't tell what heads those are the pictures are not showing on my phone but we know they are aftermarket if their aluminum.

My concerns or possibilites:

1. Valve springs are not heavy enough for the camshaft.

2. Piston to valve clearance is way to tight.

3. Stock rev limiter was raised in the tune.

Things you can do depending on how you want to tackle it.

1. Remove the timing cover, timing set and see if the cam is labeled. ID the cam. Remove a spring and have a machine shop measure the spring rate. If the springs are not adequate replace them. Check limiter in tune.

2. Swap the cam and springs entirely. Check limiter in tune.

3. Check limiter in tune. If it's set way higher than factory. Reconfigure and replace the pushrods.

Hopefully a valve is not damaged all together.

It all started when I went to store the other day not even an 1/8 of a mile away ooh yes and it doesn't have 2nd gear and I did rev it a little hard and it clanked and cut off had a hard time getting it started back and if I let off gas coming back home it cut off. But it would idle fine but there was a slite tap in top end of engine
