So im driving home from work and all of a sudden the temp gauge goes up to the L. I got home and checked it out and the crack is where one of the a/c or heater hoses go.

My question is, can i temporarily rerpair the crack. Its a hairline crack for now and its not gushing out coolant but im sure its a matter of time.
I dont have the money for a new manifold yet. But when i do, i wanted to do the pi swap. Any advise or suggestions are welcome.

It would difficult to repair it or even patch it, as its high pressure location.

It would be a lot more beneficial if you just go ahead and replace it like steven said its a high pressure set up and i dont think it would hold up there. The best thing to do would be to pick up a new intake with an aluminum crossover. You can find them pretty much any where for pretty cheap. Just keep your eyes peeled for a good price. I have an nPI intake if your interested with an aluminum cross over for the time being.

i highly doubt it will seal very well because of the moisture in the area. you could, but you would need to take off the mani and do a REALLY good job. but i doubt it very much soo. just get a new intake.

Basically it would crack somewhere else. Before you know it, you'll have a JB weld intake

For all the time spent rigging it up you could just swap it out. You can find stock replacements really cheap or do the PI intake swap.

If you somehow managed to patch it i would be really careful and that can only be temporary. Something similar happend to me and i just bought a new one. its the best way to go.
