hey guys, quick question: lookin at getting a pi intake kit from custom mustang of south florida. suppossed to come with gaskets, o rings, coolant tube, etc. everything you need to put on npi heads. sells for 289.00 + 25 shipping. claims of 15-20 horses. anybody notice a real difference putting pi intake on npi heads? worth the time & money? thanks for your input.

i have found new pi intakes cheaper, but second sensor hole is pre tapped, comes with other coolant tube you need etc. figured it would cost more buying everything seperately.

+1 on the kit you're looking at. It's the same one I bought, def. worth it for the new parts they provide and the second sensor tapped already. I bought a new water pump and installed at the same time, $50 of cheap insurance and it's a 10 minute job.

is this just a pi intake or is it a bolt-on intake (no adaptor nor silicone)
guys at custom mustang said to still use the silicone trick...

He supplies you with Permatex Ultra Grey silicone and a diagram of where to lay the beads down. You'll like this upgrade- my GT revs freely and pulls to about 5700 RPM now, whereas it was winded after 5K before with the stock intake.

That's a good price for the kit and it looks like it's a real Ford PI intake? Not sure how they can purchase all the parts and make profit at that price. Take a look at at the dyno graph here and you can see what kind of increase you can get. http://www.blueovalchips.com/index.php?action=item&id=87&prevaction=category&previd=5&prevstart=12 This is my company car for trips and customers use it while I'm doing an install or dyno. I didn't spend a lot of time dialing it in all the way. Seems tuners never have time for their own vehicles...lol

when i did mine it went from like 17X rwhp on a mustang dyno and then after the intake it did 185 rwhp. gained like a couple tq up top. Not tuned though.
