will my 98 GT intake manifold with the aluminum crossover fit on my 01 engine? also whats the diff between the two?

it's just a NPI manifold with aluminum crossover. i have this setup on my car. I don't see why you'd put a restrictive NPI intake on your car. I wouldn't waste my time with it. Too bad cause you probably got a good deal on it..

is it a PI intake on the 98? if not i definitely would not reccomend it. you will lose around 20 hp.

how can u tell if i have a pi intake on my 98? cause the orignal one cracked when i had the car 3 hours old and the replaced it with a aluminum one. it looks the same but is it?

Look at the manifold bolted to the motor while standing right in front of the engine bay. If the bottom runner closest to you is going to the drivers side head, it's a PI manifold. If the first runner is going into the passenger side head, it's a NPI. When I say first runner, i'm talking the one closest to you standing in front of the engine. Not closest to the firewall.

another way to tell is that the bottom of a PI intake goes a lot deeper into the valley of the engine than an NPI. you could always take a picture and post it and im sure someone can tell you.
