intake spacers

What kind of power gains are expected with a 1" spacer on a street heat intake. The car has heads and the usual bolt-ons. I guess my question is, is the spacer worth the price?? thanks

It does not add power just helps cool the intake

And clear any aftermaket tall valve covers.

Not sure if its got any truth, but i read somewhere adding a 1" spacer can move the powerband slightly up the rev range.

Yes.

yes but when driving around the intake gets heat soaked so there is no helping it. I do have one and it is worth it to me. If you go to the track it helps alot with the use of ice.

I didnt, but i'm running the Cobra intake [1" spacer] with a quarter of an inch to spare, not sure which is the tallest or shortest intake.

I've got a taller hood already, and besides a bigger motor or a power adder, I'm just looking for justifiable bolt-ons...so, street driven, is it worth the $
