interchangable exhaust

How much of the exhaust components are interchangable?

im curious if the plumbing is routed differently for a 4v vs. 2v, also if it is differently sized?
im getting SLP LTs on my 04 cobra motor and am wondering if i should buy a matching x-pipe for a 1996 GT, or a 2004 cobra. Are the hangers in the same spots?

also, same questions regarding cat back. how much is interchangable?

im thinking it should all match up okay, but the hangers on the cat back might need relocated. o2 sensor-elongators will also be purchased.


minor welding shouldnt be too big of a problem. if its just hangers... but any info would be appriciated!

you just needed the headers to match a diff engine. So your good at that point. You actually have a termi motor in there?

an 03/04 exhaust is shapped differently due to the IRS and all. The midpipe, not soooo much. But the catback is very diff.

im in the workings of a swap. buying parts... one at a time... right now. lol. got the exhaust under control. now its time to move onto the intake.

as for the catback, i bought that Mach 1 catback, which is for SRA, so i shouldnt have too many problems.

my uncle welds, so im not too worried about hangers and flanges, more of overall fitment.
