Interior rattles

So my '95 is getting on my damned nerves lol. In short, the trim piece on the dash that surrounds the HVAC controls/radio/vents rattles like no other. If I place a finger on the top part of it, it completely stops though.

Anyone else have this problem? If so how'd you fix it?

I'm probably gonna pull the piece off, and put some foam tape or similar behind it to see if it stops the noise. Just need the correct size Torx bit

Knock on wood, that doesn't rattle on my 95. Although, you can tell it's not sitting right. When I did something, my mechanic didn't push it back all the way. Works good enough for me. The next time he removes that, I'll have him fix it. What drove me nuts was the E brake button rattling!! My windows rattle so I roll them up just enough 'til I barely see them.

A little drop of superglue on the back of it MIGHT help.

I did that exact thing. vents no rattle any more

go on ebay or on here and get new one superglue is permanent

there are two clips that hold the top of the dash in place inside the airvents and it sounds as though yours are broken or notpushed in all the way. either foam or some othe damping material either around the side or around the topof the piece should help to reduce it, or you could always replace it. I would not recomend glue as you need to remove that piece for more then a few repairs and gluing it might mean replacing it later.
