inverted LED'd behind dash?

I'm going to do the LED mod to my dash and HVAC. I was browsing on Ebay and I noticed that I can get inverted LED's for about half the price as the wedgex5 kind? Has anyone used these LED's? How bright are they?

Theres a whole right up here http://www.sn95forums.com/forum/index.php?topic=19730.0 but that is with the wedge x5 style LED's. Im on the cheap, so i was wondering if anyone did it with inverted style LED's and got similar results?

i just put in wedge5x their sweet. im doing my hvac controls tonight. but the wedge5x's are sexy my gauges are actually really blue.

I'm sure there is. But that would be pretty hard on your eyes.

OK I see that the GT's will stay green...so my question is, without searching, can I swap out to a Cobra guage cluster if I find one? Mine is a 94GT. Oh yeah the HVAC controls too. Thanks..That is a great write up! Beautiful pics & very clear directions!

I heard that the GT ones glow blue as well... I may be wrong though. Check that thread because I'm sure it references how the lights turned out with GT gauges.

Well i decided to spend the extra cash and get the wedgex5 LED's in a hyper(xenon) white. It looks amazing! Really blue, and really blue and red looking on the HVAC. I have a 94 GT with the stock black face gauge, and yes it came out blue, not green as some people seem to believe.

One of the guys i am friends with on myspace did this mod, heres a pic of his car

i asked him how he did it cuz i liked it, he said he just took white LED lights and it came out blue :thumb:

So its the stock cluster with just white LED bulbs replacing the stock dash bulbs?? That looks awesome!
