You only need it should you run extremely lowered and with a tubular K member/arms/coilover setup. Didn't do shiat for me, and thats with MM's help. Most of the so called bumpsteer is just big mofo tires pulling the car around.

My car is lowered atleast 2 inches in the front and the bumpsteer wasnt bad at all when i still ran a 2454017, but when i switched to 2553518s, i noticed it a bit more. I parked the car immediately after i put the new wheels on it because someone hit it in downtown shoving it into the sidewalk and bending the right front control arm. Im currently saving money to buy tubular front suspension parts and x2 ball joints, so im glad i found this thread. Paul do you know whats different about setting up a bumpsteer kit as opposed to just setting the toe? Ciotti and others feel free to chime in

Toe is completely different from bumpsteer. With bumpsteer you basically just need to do trial-and-error with the shim stack until you get both the tie rod and the lower control arm to travel in the same arc. (or as close to it as you can get)

Never used the MM one. A buddy of mine has some fancy digital one for his racecar, and I've watched him do that. It was years ago.

Ok, basically its something you have to adjust, drive, adjust, drive until it feels right?

No, the gauge will measure the change in toe through the arc of the suspension travel, and you just play with the shim stack until you have it as minimal as possible. No need to drive in between. Plus, I don't think anyone's butt is calibrated well enough to measure it. :)

Haha, well I just figured there would be no way to fully compress the suspension to measure with the gauge
