Hi Guys
Ive got a 1997 was a 3.8 now converted to a 4.6. Whom ever did the swap never regeared. I think the tag n the diff reads 2:73. I find her alittle slow of the start. So I was thinking of regearing.

The only thing I have to keep in mind is that I drive a 1/2 each way to work on the freeway. And I know if I change me gears my mpg will suffer. the rpms are at 1400-1500 at 60mph right now. i was thinking maybe going to somthing like 3:45 or 3:55 .

Just wondering what milage you guys running theese ratios are getting :headbang:

you could swap to a 3.55 and still get decent mileage. They arent too steep. I think mine runs at 2700 rpm's or so at 60mph. Does your car have the 8.8 or the 7.5??

i get 20 mpg in my 98 with my 3.73's, and originally i was running 2.73's on an 8.8.

i wouldnt go with anything less than 3.73's, i do about 2200-2300 at 65 mph
