Is there anyway to make the 5.0 exhaust trumpet

So everyone knows im a exhaust freak. One thing i hate about my 5.0 is the lack of the trumpet. Every 4.6L with aftermarket exhaust will trumpet for the most part.

If you dont know what a trumpet is: The noise you hear @ 2 seconds and through out the video in example #1 video:

Now i heard this noise coming from O/r X and O/r H's on the 4.6L. My old 97 GT did this noise big time with flows/macs and o/r H.

I have a o/r X and 5.0 and had many exhaust combos and i cant reproduce this trumpet noise. It this something only a 4.6L can do around 2500rpm?

Or would a o/r H on my 5.0 reproduce the 2500rpm trumpet. I understand these are 2 different engines, but i just wanna know if its possible to get a trumpet sound again?

I also had a p/r prochamber+flows on my 4.6L and didn't get the trumpet till i put the o/r H. So im wondering is the O/R x on my 5.0 smoothing out the exhaust to much and a o/r h would wake it up!

I THINK my magnaflow side exhaust makes the sound you're talking about.... That's what I wanted, didn't expect it, and got it with my setup. I'm not sure what makes it do that though.

That video isn't a great representation of my exhaust, though it only makes the sound i'm thinking of at lower RPM's when the engine is under heavy load. I don't think getting 5.0's to do it is an easy task if possible lol.

Anyone wanna buy a 302? Im swapping in a 4.6 4v LOL

All my buddies have a 4.6L and there exhaust sound so much better than mine. I even found myself liking the 4.6 with O/r H and SLP LM1 because of the 4.6 trumpet. Dang it!!!!
Hell, i even get jealous when i hear the 3v with o/r H and flows.. those trumpet louder than hell in person!

Yeah, mine does that just a little bit, just at a deeper pitch... I doubt i'll get a better video of it anytime soon though haha.

And that sound is the biggest reason i'd like a 4.6

Well ya. A lot of 4.6L owners hate the trumpet noise. I was one of them when i first got my 4.6L with o/r h. It sounded like a HARLEY from inside.. down right nasty in a bad way. But it grown on me.

It sounds like someone playing a trumpet pretty much. But yes the underwater 4v sound is down right sexy.

Mine use to do it until I swapped the heads/cam to trickflow but I like it better with out it.

LOL! For the most part i know its hard to get that sound. I listened to bassani 5.0 clips for years and never heard another one like that one. LOL. Me and my buddy joke around about it always. I would need a modded 306.. dr gas X (which they dont make anymore) and long tubes... just for that exhaust sound.

The people who hate that noise calls it the "underwater" sound. But i love it just like you.
