Hello all!

While on vacation last week, visiting one of my dad's cousins, I came across his mustang that he is trying to sell. I was hoping to find out a decent price on the car and what you guys think about it. Its was 95 v6'r. Two years ago he dropped in a brand new 302 with a 750 Edelbrock performer carb and a brand new T-5. Original paint, never driven in the winter, always garaged, 133k kilometers (approx 70k miles) on the body. The interior is like new and the paint could use a good buffing.Only thing it really needs is a new windshield because of a decent rock chip. The motor and transmission have about 800 miles on them since the swap. I don?t have any pictures. He claims to have $3000(Canadian dollars) in the engine and transmission swap. Can the v6 suspension and rear end handle the 5.0? What type of gas mileage should I expect?
He says he needs to get 6,000 for the car. Is this price fair? Is it possible to convert the car to imperial from metric?

Thanks

I think its too expensive, the car will come up on a VIN check as a 6 so it has no book value plus you can't really make it legal to drive in the US if thats where you live.

The 7.5 rear won't last long most likely.

I've seen some really nice Fox Bodies for much less than that.

I agree with droptoppony. The cost of the car is too much and you will have to put more money right back into it once you start adding mods. Just start really searching everywhere ebay, craigslist, autotrader, forums you can find a smokin deal if your willing to wait.

+1 I would not trust that rear to last long if you are making any kind of power. Not only that but being the car is carburated and not fuel injected, you may have issues going throught inspection.

Here in the U.S. you can put fuel injection on a carburated car, but you can't put a carburator on a fuel injected car.
