IS THIS A GOOD DEAL???

My friend is looking at a black 1996 gt with a Procharger on it. The car has 105,000 miles, chrome 17x9 cobra r's, bucket seats, and some Roush interior dress ups. The guy said it was making 285 to the wheels because its a non P.I. motor. The only thing that needs to be done is painting the front and rear bumpers. He's asking $7,300 without the painted bumbers, $8,300 with them. Thanks for the advice! Matt

seems like a decent price if you ask me, but what other bolt ons does it have?

personally though, i wouldnt buy a used car that has a blower on it, but thats just me.

Seems a little high to me, but if it's worth it to him, then I wouldn't say he got screwed on the deal.

likely hes run it into the ground......

Could be, but my car rarely sees more than 3k, maybe once or twice a week, so not always true.

Well I would recomend at least a cranking compression test, better yet a leakdown test would really tell the tale.

Honestly it's a 4k car with a 2k blower on it, so he has to decide if he wants all the extra goodies and wants to take a chance.

Thanks guys. The car is being sold from a reputable Mustang dealership. The salesman told me that the car had only one owner for eleven years, and supposedly the owner was some old guy who babied the car. The only other bolt ons I saw was a custom-looking intake.

think of it as buying a 03-04 cobra..haha

seriously though...he could make that 285 rwhp go to 385 rwhp real quick..get some long tubes, pi intake, cams, tuned..i wish I had a supercharger.

sounds good to me :) , still not making the rwhp of the ls1 stock :( but cool enough, if it has lower boost i would do a pi head/intake/cam swap and a good tune. that way your making the pi pwer and getting the added affect of the 10.5:1 Cr on a supercharged car. :banana:
