Professional Lurker
April 2011....Mother Nature destroyed my 95 Gt with softball sized hail. Since then we have had two more kids and purchased "the house" that we plan on staying in forever which included a oversized 2 car garage. I finally have somewhere to store a car and keep it safe from our awesome midwest weather..
Fast forward to May 2019. After many months of searching for a car that fit my requirements I stumbled across a deal I couldn't refuse. 1997 Pacific Green Cobra. 92,000 miles with tasteful mods. Longtubes,O/R X pipe,Mac Mufflers, MGW Short Throw,4.10 gears, JLT Intake, IMRC Deletes and COP Conversion. Had a deal worked out with this young kid and agreed to meet on Tuesday since the banks were closed for the holiday. Meeting time 9:30am already had communication established for the day around 9:00am. Told him I was leaving the bank and was on my way. He replied with sounds good. At 9:24am I receive a text saying "Sorry bro I just sold the car. Good luck finding another one"
Was literally 3 blocks from the post office we agreed to meet at. Talk about a gut punch. Two days later I stumble across another 1997 Cobra that seemed to be a good deal. 85,000 miles stock everything under the hood. Catted X pipe,Bassani Cat-back, lowered 1.5 inches, AMR 17inch staggered wheels, short throw shifter (unknown brand) and tinted windows. Has a vacuum line unplugged or broke causing the air to blow only on defrost otherwise no other known issues. Purchase price $5200. I finally have a car again.
