Are those original FR500's? Just courious. Amazing looking car. Can you post more close ups of the car/wheels. That Go Pro takes awesome pics. I'm hoping to pick one up sometime this summer b/c I want to start getting track video's. Would have had one a lot sooner but something else had come up car mod wise thats pulling my cash to other areas.

And yeah you need to give the gears a break in period or also known as heat cycling them. I wonder what other awesome tech Handz can enlighten us with....No need to break in a new clutch....no break in time for a new engine.... Would think that someone thats been on forums for awhile would have actually learned something about cars. Stick to telling people how to apply armoral to the interior and leave the performance mod's to those who actually know what they are talking about.

You are supposed to heat cycle gears I wouldn't call it a break in .

Its not X number of miles driven that has to be done to heat cycle gears like when breaking in a clutch when 500 miles is reccomended. But its still a proceedure that needs to be done. Really funny someone saying gears have no process of being broken in/heat cycled but they feel the need they have to heat cycle tires lol. Fucking ignorance FTW!!!!

I guess cycling is the name for it and apparently I've always done enough cycling the 3 times Ive had gears installed. The drive was about 40 miles before the car was parked and within a few days the car was beaten on whether it was at the track or on the street. Whatever....

EXACTLY!!! thats why people can install a gear set and launch hard drag racing right after. Gears have no break in time!!! :)

You're getting shit twisted. There is a difference between a new set of gears for a street car and people at the track who swap out the entire center section of a 9"....where the ring and pinion are already set and built in. Will you BREAK a gear set without heat cycling or breaking it (whatever you want to call it)? No, most likely not. CAN you end up with a noisy set of gears that can't be silenced without redoing the entire job over again including a new set of gear....yes. So for people that swap out gears at the track....say for argument's sake they don't use a 9" and have an 8.8...they probably could careless about the gear whine coming from the ass end.

FOR A STREET CAR TO ENSURE A QUALITY END PRODUCT, GEARS SHOULD BE BROKEN IN / HEAT CYCLED. When I do gears in a customer's car, I watch the car leave...everytime. If i see them hammer on it, clutch dump, or otherwise, I am not going to warranty SHIT when they complain it whines or breaks. I haven't had but ONE customer come back with an issue because they listen... and the one that DID come back...that was a leaking pinion seal. New seal and crush sleeve, happy camper.

Leaking pinion seal makes me LOL.

I replaced that seal twice in my car and it keeps coming back.

I just swapped out my entire rear end so maybe this one wont leak on me.

I took it some what easy on my gears just because I heard that was the thing to do.
