i pulled the center console out of the car over the weekend, and when i got around to putting it back in, the cig lighters and my speedo (controlled by speedcal wired into power feed for 12v power source) dont work. as far as i know, i have everything connected back together correctly, since i cant put anything in the wrong spot.

my next step would be to trace the wire loom back to its source, but i cant imagine anything beyond the console is wired wrong, since i didnt touch anything that wasnt under the console.

also, i have two square female connectors coming from the power feed off that wire loom. one (casing is either white or a shade of gray) goes to the fog light switch, and the other is a brown one, which does not fit the fog light switch due to a different notch in the casing. is this one for the vert switch (which would be just dangling, unused for coupes?)?

im about to go fuss around with it on my lunch break, but i dont know how far ill get with it. i could care less about the 12V power, but since my speedo is wired into it, i kinda need it fixed asap, since im judging my speed solely on other drivers and my tach.

CK The cig fuse. it may have blown when you pluged it back in.
that other plug in the console is for the vert. just a empty plug in the coupe, unless you rewire the fogs from that pwr source.

fuses were the first thing i checked.

pretty much what im dealing with, is, the blue/whte wire is the power wire. there is no voltage reading at the first (gray) connector, which sits basically right next to the ebrake handle, under the console. that connector is slotted so it will not go in backwards into its corresponding connector. from there, the blue/white wire, along with the black wire, goes to the cig outlets (which the speecal also taps into).

going backwards from that first gray connector, the wire is wrapped in a loom, which goes straight under the carpet not even 3" from where that connector sits. from there, i have no idea where it back-tracks to, other than the assumption of making a straight run back to the fuse (although, we all know its never that easy).

it just stopped working? does this wire power the accessory ports? because both of mine dont work either.

i figured it out. for some reason, that circuit's fuse is in the engine compartment's fuse box. for whatever reason, i dont know. especially when in the manual, there were like 5 different fuse locations for the center console, which obviously now, none of those fuses are for the center console. for anyone else's reference, its a 30A fuse.

hopefully im not the only one who would have just assumed the engine bay's fuse box wouldnt have had an interior "accessory" circuit in it.
