1. What can i do with my smog pipe for the time being? I want to do the smog pipe deletesometime, but will it hurt anything just tucking the smog pipe under the car for now and running the car?

2. I hear a high pitch sound out the back of the car, and it was there before i put the new exhaust on, what could it be, fuel filter?

thanks Ken

1.- just weld it shut and bend it out of the way where nothing can get catch up on there, while you get the delete done.

2.- :confused1: like what?

Is it a big deal if i don't weld it for a few days?

The high pitch sound mostly comes from the passenger side behind the rear wheels. I have no clue what it is, i was just guessing a bad fuel filer, it is the original and i have 115k on it.

Just cap it with something or get under the car and bend it shut with some pliers,

Thanks, i'll get under there and bend it shut, i have it tucked up above the exhaust pipe for now

I know it's hard to figure out what it is, but it is when the car is running and it is a continuous high pitch sound.

im positive youll be fine if you just bend it shut, if you dont want or cant take it to get it weld shut, dont you have emissions in PA?

Thats more likely your gears. i see you have 3.73's.

is the high pitch sound been going on for how long?

We sure do, but i think i am exempt if i drive it under 5000 miles which i plan on doing.

Maybe, but I wouldn't think because it is louder on the passenger side just behind the wheel and i really can't hear it that much from the drivers side.
It does it when i have it in neutral sitting in the driveway, it's been going on for a few months.

The high pitch sound is your fuel pump. If its getting louder its on its way out. Get a 255 for it, approx 1-2 hour install.

My muffler shop actually welded the air pump line into the new H-pipe somehow, works good and Im too lazy to to the Delete. I would just recommend removing the system if you really don't care at all about emissions, I was just too lazy to take it off, put on the delete kit, pay for a delete kit etc.

Re: Just installed new flowmaster, have 2 things, now 3rd thing

Now a third thing, i drive it to work today going down the highway and car shuts off and then back on. 1 mile later car just turns off, pull it over, crank it and it trys to turnover but nothing. So i leave it for a couple of hours go back and it starts right up. Drive it about 4 or 5 miles and it does the same thing, just stops.

I can hear the fuel pump when i turn the car on and it tries to start but seems like it's not getting any gas, help!

Put a fuel gauge on the rail and check your fuel pressure. Some say that all mustang pumps are loud, but Its been my experience that when you hear a consistent whine coming from the pump, its probably time to replace it.

Of course the fuel gauge should tell you if the fuel supply is within spec.

X2. When you get in the car (and it's off) and you turn the key to the "ON" position, you should be able to hear a whining
from the back of the car for a second or 2. If it is continuously whining then it may be time to replace it. Double check with a
fuel pressure gauge (like others have said) and go from there.
