getting sick and tired of the flowmaster super44's. They sound awesome, but it's my daily driver now and I don't think the neighbours are very happy with me starting the car every day at 6:30. :angry7: Besides that, the 3.55's put me right in the flowmaster drone-zone on the highway.

So welding in some regular magnaflows and ordered some 45degree cut 3", 18" long polished magnaflows tips to go with it.

Anyone have experience with this setup? 5.0 + o/r H + regular magnaflows?

I'll take your word for it. As long as it's bearable when cruising and people will still know they're dealing with a V8, I'm happy.

Should have gone dynomax ss ultraflo's :)

I love the sound just a little louder then stock and has a nice tone when you get on it. I know when I do get a offroad h it will give me just a tad more bark to it. :)

I ordered the regular magnaflows.. I think packs woulda been still too aggressive around town.

I know, I was really torn between the ultraflo's and magnaflows. But I liked the quality of the magnaflow on my probe. Other then that, I saved about $100 getting these. $409 for the tips + ultraflo's from summit, $315 for the tips + magnaflows from ebay.

That's $100 towards my steeda tri-ax :icon_rr:

And if it's too quiet, I'll just have to make the engine breath some more air with heads/intake/shorties :dontknow: Good excuse.

Well packs sound good to me. They are loud but not that loud. They sound more muscle car like versus plain Jane mustang

I have normal Magnaflows with an o/r h on mine and love the sound. Stock everything basically and it sounds like an old muscle car, which is what I wanted. They are quiet at idle/cruising speed, but pretty loud at WOT.

Mines not stupid loud. ORX and stock heads with 45 degree magnapacks and it sounds good. Not loud at idle or rolling. Unless you put your foot in it then it's loud, but the same goes for flows, and any other mufflers. SLP's are obnoxious, and this is no where close to that. Beats me why my car is different, I just ordered a set of packs and used some flowtech flowtubes with them.

my buddy has Magnapacks on his 4.6 and they sound amazing. loud and muscular sounding, but the drone isn't too bad on the highway. i agree with Steven on the SLPs, totally obnoxious.

Its pretty stupid loud if I went over half throttle in any gear. Idle was pretty loud. I liked it a lot but it was just so damn loud. Heres my idle: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5155475b-049e-4ee7-9560-9c6c014b3386.htm

My super44's are loud even when I'm barely touching the throttle rolling around town..

Maybe its your tails? Thats louder then mine is. It does have a little 'hum" to it at idle but thats alot louder. Thats suprisingly different. Maybe my packs are longer or something and has more 'pack'.

95 mustang magnapacks

Dan has the trickflow H/C/I on that car and it's a 331 I believe, that would change the note quite a bit :p
