It's actually a process and a program. It's called HDR (High Dynamic Range). You take multiple pictures of the same subject at different exposures (a tripod helps a LOT). Then you upload them with a program called Photomatrix (I have a demo version downloaded) and it'll combine the 3 or however many pictures, and you can play with the tonemapping settings to get the product how you want.

Car looks but but the strength is way too strong for my taste. How much over/under exposure are you taking?

i heard photoshop can do that with one click.

The ones I've done have barely been identifiable as HDR, so I decided to do one that was pretty strong. The shots are at -2, 0, 2.

looks great, and the new photoshop cant do HDR images w/ one click, its all a process
