Guys, i'm going to get a kb for my car over the winter.. It's a definite... And i really wanna see Pictures and Videos of your car with the KB on.. Also want to know details about it, how much boost you run, the pricing and a whole bunch of other things.. Really any info would be great.. Thanks ccasion14:

I would suggest not going with a kb, kb's for pushrods / are cars are very bad, not many to choose from u have 2 kb's thats it made, u cant use prob more than 10-15psi/ hybrid custom blowerrs/ pulleys maybe but thats $$$. and are cars overheat badly with kb's

If it were me. I know myself and i would get power hungry and i would get tired of it. I would spend the money and either freshen up the 302 and put a nice set of heads on it so on and so forth.

My my plan is to get my engine rebuilt and .030 over.. Then throw a cam in it and either get my heads ported or get edelbrocks and have a kb on it with about 9-11 psi

If your going to do a 306 i would at least get a set of gt40's or AFR's, edelbrocks something to let that car breath. I would do all my motor work and get all that done. Drive it for a while and then decide on the KB. You have so many more options with a Vortech or a Turbo app and you can have more power avail when you want it.

If it was me and was going to spend the money to have a motor rebuilt and bored i would just go straight to a 347 with some heads nice upper, lower and so on.

i have the gt40's stock on my car.. Thought about a 331 or 347 stroker but i finally figured out what I wanted was a KB so thats what i'm going to get

I want a KB for my car too, nothing wrong with KBs on 5.0s. Yeah they do run on the hot side but really so does every roots blower and if it bothers you there are ways around it. KBGT was running 11psi on a stock 5.0 with pretty good results, hopefully he'll chime in.

Have you guys seen a guy called Tinman? hes on the corral... hes running 9.87 with a 347 and a kb... More than likley he does have
alot of work into his car, but there is definitly potential, and room to grow! As somebody else mentioned meth injection is a option,
theres a few guys on here that have that set up to cool it down!

There is a lote of room to grow on this car, it is pritty much the slowest your going to get with a KB set up lol. Its is plenty of fun to drive if you dont like mpg and with some heads a pully and a meth kit it should put down at least 400ish hp.

i would opt for the blowzilla, if you can afford it, the smaller KB will only spin a 8 lb pulley, but if you run a 90mm mass, big TB, ram air and I can hit some good air i can hit 11, occasionlly 12 lbs..which is freakin sweet. on the dyno, pushin 8-9 lbs i made 450 rwtq at 2600rpm, with long tubes, dumps , off- roads, and a snow meth kit cause it gets hot under there.
