So I am almost certain that I will be purchasing a Kenne Bell super charger for my 95 GT. Just wondering if anyone out there has had any issues with these blowers?...For the cost of a complete kit, the vortech, procharger and so on do not compare, plus the install appears to be alot simpler for the Kenne Bell.

I thought the KB install was going to be a lot easier than it actually was. getting to some of the bolts on the KB to install it is really difficult, not to mention had I not got the 1" intake spacer I would have had to relocate my fuel pressure regulator. That would be fine except when I told KB about it they acted like they've never heard of anyone having such a problem, really? I gotta say it's fun as hell though.

As stated, you will need a combo of studs and bolts. The adapter elbow is kind of restrictive also, I swapped mine for a larger trickflow elbow. To get rid of the fuel pressure clearance issue I took it in and had a small section notched and tig welded for clearance. Just to keep things easier for the back drivers side bolt/nut just accept that the perfect length of wrench will be the one you saw in half for that specific nut. You will need to figure out a alternative coil mount location as well. I mounted mine on the spare area next to the snout.

They make a coil relocation bracket, it bolts to the front header bolt. I think i used three studs and three bolts for mine.

Which Kenne Bell superchargers do you guys have? Im looking at the TS-1000-94 kit. They make it sound like everything that I need to install this charger is in the kit and that I shouldnt have any issues with it......They said that I had to have a 5" crank pulley and stock water pulley...

Make sure you get the 2.1 or 2.2 KB not the 1.5 because the 1.5 is way to little and wont give you the power you want down the road to compete with say 2013 stock 5.0 's .. Also they make a lot of heat so if your car is a daily driver make sure you run meth or something because with A/C and 100 degree weather shit will get a little hot ..

What exactly are your goals for the car? Match your setup to your goals and budget.

If you can afford it, its smart to run meth with kenne bells cuz like others said above, kbs get really high iats really fast, especially with higher levels of boost, and heatsoak will make the cpu pull timing hard! As long as you are cool with that, kbs are super fun. Just don't think you can go make lots of consistent back to back passes at a drag strip, cuz your times will get slower and slower.

I'm running one of the older 2.2L KBs with the Flowzilla inlet pipe.

I thought I saw a chart on here before that showed if you're running under 10psi the 1.5 blower is actually better. Either way they only make the 2.1 now so if you're buying new you're good.

My goals for the car is just to have more power when needed, not to be racing at the track. So Im hoping that I wont have any heat issues. For now I have painted the car (fixing chips and what not), added side scoops, new struts and shocks, flowmaster catback system and just some touch ups inside, next spring will be the super charger!

Ditto on the KB customer service, it's non existant. There's a reason the ProCharger and Vortech kits cost a little more, they're worth it. If you just want the wow factor and a little extra oomph, then the KB will fulfill that. It's difficult to get big power because of the outlet temps on the KB or any rootes style blower.
