no viper for me, is a viper something i could install myself, ive done electric fans on a 74 pick up with relay and fog lights so i understand wiring for the most part

Yeah, It can be installed. I dont know of your level of expertise but I do warn people, If you dont have a good understanding of your cars electrical system, dont try it.

I would recomend taking it to a shop man. The 5-wire system that operates the doorlocks can be a little tricky to diagnose and wire in correctly or you will blow the lock circuit. A great alarm with a bad install can leave you with your stereo or car stolen but do not forget that you will be getting into the critical ignition wiring so if you mess that up you can end up stranded and needing a towtruck to get it fixed/pulled out.

Sounds a little more complicated than i thought. Ill take it to a shop, so ill have someone other than myself to blame

Lol... Yeah. I know people have their own impressions of Best Buy but they do installs there and the cost of the system includes install.

Make sure you talk to the tech first tho. Some people are good, others well no so much.

If im gonna spend decent money on anything, I will only go to a good shop. An extra couple bucks can insure a better install, thus you only do it once. Kinda like a tatoo not gonna go to a hole in the wall place where the guy looks spun, and wasted. :violent1:
