1996 Dakota 4 cyl 5 speed. cant get out of its own way, but she's got new brakes, tires, ice cold a/c, subs and amps out of the hemi, just in a new box. i had given it to my brother when i bought the hemi, and three clutches, front brakes, and a set of shocks later, i took it back. he abused it, and treated it liek shit. it had brand new pain when he got it, and he never waxed it. oh well, its mine again. i took it back, and gave hime the Regal of Doom. feels good to be back in a truck. best part is, ive got 318 with bad rings sittin at my house that just needs some freshening up than will bolt right in(with a new bellhousing for the tranny).

MOPAR OR NO CAR!

yeah, the 318 is gonna be a fun swap. cant wait. still dont know if i wanna keep the 5 speed, and just get a new bellhousing/clutch, or go for an auto...
either way, its gonna need a new rear end. that open diff is just gonna roast the right tire all day...

this thing survived me and my brother, and its still running strong with 116k on the clock. AND ITS MISSING 4 CYLINDERS! lol. nah, i love my truck. cant wait to drop that 318 in it....
or i might do something totally crazy, like a 392 hemi with a powerglide 3 speed and 4.10's....

hah 392 hemi would be redic in that thing with 410..i dont know if i would put a powerglide in it...if i was to do an automatic id try and make the 727 thorquflight work...but y not just throw a crashbox 4speed in that baby!!!

I've always heard the 318 and the 4.0 inline six that comes in the jeeps are chrysler's two best motors
