Last day at the track for this year, so I got some good pics. Was REALLY hot today, 31* C (or 88* F for the Yanks) and really showed on my times. My best was a 13.3@101mph, and I ran a few 13.4/.5s too. Tried running my slicks at 10psi too, felt WAY too loose on the top end so I'm going back to 12/13. Anyways, here's some pics! For the winter, I plan on doing the following: Replacing that god-awful hacked flowmaster exhaust with a o/r X and Borla stinger catback, intake Spacer, changing plugs/fuel filter and getting a tune done on the car since it doesn't have one anymore. My goal is the 12s n/a, then I'm going F/I and aiming for high 11s.

Highlight of my day, I actually beat that GT500. I tree'd him and beat him to the traps. I ran a dismal 13.5@101mph, he ran 13.4@107mph. My sixty was 1.8, his was 2.0.

Do yourself a favor mate, and get a catted H or X with that borla stinger catback.. Or regular magnaflows if your stuck on going with an offroad midpipe.. but o/r X and stingers is going to get really old soon. Best modular i've ever heard was a Mach1 with longtubes, catted H and stingers.. sounded awesome like any other 32v when ripped on, but had a lovely old school beat to it on cruise. Wish I had an H..

Haha they are 26x8.5x15, they hook good! One of my buddies locally has videos of it (including my run where my car popped out of 1st when I was launching) but I can't get them off facebook :(. And Dutch, I know it will be loud and have some good rasp, but believe me, my old 5.0L was probably louder, it's WAY to quiet for me right now. I forgot to add front brakes and line lock to my list of upgrades, my fronts are squealing pretty bad because of the anti rattle clips.

Nice! If I were you, I would put even more air pressure in those tires. At your power level you could probably run close to 18 psi in those things and still dead hook.

For example, in my car if I want to keep the front down a little, I run 14-15 psi and will still hook, and that's with probably 400-500 more rwhp than your car

Ya, Guys were telling me to go 10, so I tried it, I like 13psi in them, feels good and hooks good too.

Lower is definetely not always better, although if i read it right your getting 1.8s out of slicks? seems a bit off, In my opinion let me drive it >.>

I have cut a few 1.7's too. Those H&R race springs are KILLING my launch. The car has adjustable shocks which helps a ton, but those damn stiff ass springs kill the momentum. Here is a video of my 13.3@101mph pass. Weight transfer with the shocks is good, but 750lb rate springs take that away. I'm going stock rear mach springs and front coilovers sometime.

I just think it's funny that 88* is really hot.. it's supposed to hit 100* today where i'm at. Looks like you had a good time though, I wouldn't mind hitting the dragstrip if we had one close around here.

the owner of the gt500 should be shot and forced to sell his shelby, running 13.4@107 with a 550hp shelby is BEYOND Slow

esp when i just read a owner of 1 stock with just tire ran 11.16 1/4 over on svt performance, and bone bone stock is high 11's low 12's. even motor trend ran 12.3 in a stock new shelby.

Cars run a lot slower here, altitude makes a big difference, new camaros run 13.6 at best on street tires, 5.0L mustangs run 13.2 and 2010 4.6L's are running 14.4. But ya, his next run was a 13.1, but still, the guy can't drive lol.
