I noticed a lot of the detail oriented posts are exterior biased and am looking to change things up a bit. With that said, I need to clean my wife's interior and am looking for some tips or products. What are some of your "go to" techniques and products you use? I like stoner window cleaner with a two-towel method (1st towel to wipe and clean -2nd towel to buff right after. 3 paint brushes (cheap home depot brushes)to dust and get into the nooks and crannies. 1 brush=full length bristles and soft(3" wide), 2nd brush = round pouncing brush to get into the tighter areas, 3rd brush = a soft brush with the bristles cut in half to make them a bit more firmer for the carpet areas next to the door sills (hard to get a vacuum cleaner to pick up debris in that crack). Going to use megs QID spray to clean and 303 to protect. Any good techniques to clean "cloth" seats? What do you use for carpet cleaning? I'm going to try some blue coral carpet and upholstery this Sunday. My 3 and 7 year olds destroyed the back seat of my wife's leaser cx9. I guess I just didn't care b/c it was a lease. But since we have to turn it in this year, I guess I'll try to make it look respectable. Sorry for the long post.

I use ear cleaners for a lot of the nooks and crannies within the center console.

i know its not a common household item, but i work at a car wash and clean interiors all day, and my favorite tool is a Air Chuck for a air compressor.

i can get an dash spotless with a Cotton Rag, Glass cleaner, and the Air Chuck

I just did the wife's car this past weekend and used the cg so fast odor eater (she smokes in her car) and WOW what a difference. Now she has a nice apple smell and it's wonderful. The seats took a lot of scrubbing but they came out like new. No more food for the kids in the back seat. We've had the car for 3 years and cleaned the interior maybe 4 times. The interior is as new as when we got it. Hey Handz how is that cg vrp? I have some and just haven't had the chance to use it. For the seats I used the blue coral upholstery stuff and a soft fingernail brush to work into the stains. Afterwards, I used a terry towel to scrub and rub the cleaner off (I can't seem to get myself to use a quality microfiber cloth to do this).

A great cloth/carpet/plastic cleaner is Folex. You can get it at Lowes/Home depot. Quality mf towels should be reserved for paint, cheap towels are for grunge work.

I just bought myself a complete new black interior because the tan never did it for me. The interior is in excellent shape but it needs a bit of cleaning. What products do you recommend using on Panels, center console, dash. I want that new car look without leaving my interior greasy. Is this possible? I live near an Autozone, O'reilys, and pepboys, what goodies can I buy there? Is the CG VRP sold in stores or online only?

Meguiars quick interior detailer works just fine for an off the shelf product. Optimum's protectant plus works well for a not-too-shiny look.
