is it a decent upgrade to do with a HCI? is it worth it? whos running one and should i waste my time?

I am running one and upgraded to it last year after doing a trickflow stage 1 head/cam swap as well as installed an anderson power pipe. Looking over your mods you don't need it yet. Don't forget with the price of the MAF you will also need the adaptor hrns to go from 6 pin to 4. Its $50 at AM or you can cut it off of a newer f150 at a bone yard. Also don't forget you will need a filter-($30-50)to mount the filter on it and finally you will need a tune to get it to run(varies from $300 for a canned tune or $5-600 for a dyno tune). All said it is a great piece and I have been happy with it but again you are well ahead of the curve if you install one now.

I have one i'm not using.. It has filter adapter and plug you have to splice into your harness.. Its a good upgrade but you really don't need it now..
