Ok guys and gals.

I have a 98GT, right now I have the 4.6, PI heads, Cam, and Intake, BBK 75mm TB, T-rex, Green top focus pump in tank, Vortech V1 with a S-trim, and a Front mount intercooler that hasn't been installed yet. My engine has 125K miles on it, I did a cylinder leak down test and 2 cylinders were at 16% to the crank case.

ok, shes old and worn, let me rebuild it... but wait...

Made a deal with a buddy today, he wants my whole engine complete(he is fully aware of it's condition), and he's trading me his 2002 F-150 Lightning engine COMPLETE!...

Has anyone put a 5.4 Blown engine into our SN95 cars? What must I not forget to pull out of his truck to complete the swap?

There's a member who has done it. There's really nothing you need except the engine and all the accesories, your harness can be modifed to run it, and your ecu can be flashed.

Like Ryclef said though, there isn't a cowl in the world big enough to hide it, so I would just cut a big hole in the stock hood, since whatever hood you get will be cut anyway.

its the same as any other 5.4 swap just you have a blower on it instead :coolsmiley:
its been done in a fox-body so pretty sure you can do it in a sn95....you'll need a HUGE hood though...

Thanks for the responses guys..

I knew the hood would be an issue, I have no problem cutting the stocker, I use to seeing a blower hang outta the hood, I ran a 8-71 in a 68 Stang years ago.

Anyone know of what or where I can read info relating to the wiring harness modification?

That looks bad ass.

I cut the hole in the stocker... no need in ruining a cowl hood.

The only mod's to the harness relate to the temp sender's. There's nother involved other than lengthening of some wires, nothing tricky or anything.

You would want to fab up a way to mount your coil packs also.

Well hell, this sounds easy...

I can fab stuff..

I figured I'd have to make brackets and stuff for the heat exchanger, and the H.E. water pump mount.

You would have to come up with a way to mount the HE as well, but I mean you seem inclined for this type of thing. It would all be obvious once you have it sitting on the mount's.

The main thing is to have a tuner lined up ahead of time, so you can at least get a baseline tune to run to the dyno with, or have a trailer ready to tow it.

And buy some stock in a tire copmany :2funny:
