I think it's either Mac or Magnaflow that makes the 3.5" tipped catbacks.

I think 3.5" tips can look good if they are the right style and in the right position. Magnaflow 3.5" tips are ugly but Mac 3.5" tips are very hot, and look even better with wide tires. Stock is too small, I have 3" now which I thought was perfect but even them now are starting to look on the small side.

I wish they had like a stock replacement except 2.5 in except where the whole tip of the stock exhaust is it's 3.5 inches. I really want that!

I might have the exhaust shop make me a custom catback or something lol

yeah i know what u mean but at least they finish it off nicely, isn't bolted on, and from most angles you won't see it, unlike how Magnaflow and SLP tips are that is just ugly imo. Bassani ends right at the tire if you don't mind 3", and Flowmasters go past the tire but are 2.5".

I think I'll keep the 2.5 stock tips and get the part past where the catback starts to be 2 1/4 inches custom made to be 2.5 inches. so from the header back everything is 2.5 inches. idk I might get an american thunder catback and get magnaflow mufflers in it. fuck this is gonna be expensive

not shiny enough?! How shiny do u want them? Only the stainless steel Bassani catback is $750, the regular catback with stainless tailpipes is only like $460, which is roughly the same price as SLP and Magnaflow.

ah, yeah they aren't chrome. The Bassani tailpipes are a high polished stainless steel, they bling pretty good when they are polished up and clean but it's not like chrome.

back from the dead. would I really notice a difference in machine bent exhaust and mandrel bent?

I know a guy out in troy who will build me an exhaust from my longtubes back for about $650 all stainless steel with the tips I want. But the only downfall is that it's machine bent, not mandrel bent. Would it be worth it or will I even notice a difference in my exhaust between the two? power wise and sound wise?

You could just get the Bassani BX exhaust. Better than putting Magnaflows etc. in a flowmaster catback setup and such. At least with the BX the muffler internals are still made of stainless, just the piping that isn't. The muffler is the bigger downfall on the non-stainless catbacks like Flowmasters- they tend to rot out, I've seen numerous examples of Flows doing this and I live in GEORGIA, isn't like our conditions are particularly punishing. They must make them out of recycled beer cans or something.

I'd just buy a catback that's made for your car. Then you'll know the quality is there and won't have some custom job.

but I can't get long enough tips! I've heard alot of things bad about the bbk o/r x for the longtubes, saying that it causes alot of backpressure and you actually hear pinging in the exhaust because of it (heard it from the guy I got the spacers from)

I don't want to buy a catback just to turn around and buy different longer tips for it.
