Long tube header's?

What all is involved when installing long tubes on a 96 gt?I heard you have to pull the motor all kinds of crazy stuff I just like to really know before I go and buy a set. THANKS GUYS

When installing Longtubes on my 98gt we dropped the K-member and kinda went from there.........When we install longtubes on my buddies 98gt we pulled the whole motor hope that kinda give you an idea.........

when I did LT's on my 96 the second time, I used a cherry picker to hold the engine low after I dropped the K-member, It made it alot better, and I also did a 5-speed swap to

yeah u go too hell with the sn95s to install longtubes .. then if u have a clutch .. have to take the long tubes off also lol .. its a long process lol

it just takes time bro. but its will be good in the long run .. just drop the k-member like everyone else is saying and should be good to go ...

Do you really have to take the long tubes off to work on the clutch or trans? im lookin into longtubes myself?

Yea when i did my long tubes i had the motor out. and it was still a pain. and yeah you cant get the tranny in or out with the long tubes bolted on. trust me ive tried. Theyr a real pain in the ass to get in but theyr definatley worth it in the end.

yes,drop the kmember to put the headers on.you DO NOT HAVE TO remove the headers or even one to do a clutch job.i have done 2 clutch jobs with the headers installed.i will tell you this,it is a HUGE BITCH but can be done.you have to play around with the trans and rotate the case around the input shaft and have a few buddies there bc it gets heavy quick and you will be holding onto it for a little.

Too much of a hassle for the reward in my opinion, then again, ive never been in an SN with longtubes so i wouldnt know about the reward.

How noticable is the gain really?
