longtube header install

i have an auto in my car, i was wondering what the easiest way of installing longtube headers is on the stang? do i need to lift the motor or drop the k-member

i do have access to an engine lift and a car lift, as i work at a Ford dealership

Drop the engine with the K, seperate on the ground, Install LT's K back on, Eng & Trans back in car, down the road you go with freed up HP's

Me and my buddy droped my K member on mine. Took a day or two. I busted off a manifold stud in the head and funked up my egr tube. PITA but well worth it. also after you install the headers check to see if your a/c lines are laying on the headers before you take your car for a spin. I had to find that out the hard way. :violent1:

and then about 4 ish after getting the engine/trans off the drivetrain table and on to either the ground (trans) and Engine stand

and im surpised your front end doesnt sit higher up with the motor out... :p

after the motor was out I attemped to put the k back in the car, Fail,the springs wouldnt compress enough to get the struts back in sooo, i took the struts out :)
