alright i think i've come up with a cool unique design. i purchased a kaenan 2.5" cobra r hood. i also found a shaker hood scoop from an 04 mach 1. i picked up a set of stainless steel hood pins with 24" lanyards that are going into the grill opening.

now my first idea was to do a similar paint scheme like the mach 1's stock hood graphics

and my way of accomplishing those graphics was going to be to flat black the center section of the hood like this (but flat black)

but then looking at that mach 1's factory graphic..i thought about exactly that..i dont really wanna pay as much as i will for a moonlight blue paintjob to smack a flat black coat on the hood..soo possible a graphic...if i can find a local company ill do that, but i dont see why it cant be shipped if you guys know someone that can do that? actually maybe a problem cuz they'll need to know the exact demensions. i think like the mach one's outer ring, surrounding the end of the cowl, then that gap, then the center peice of that...should look sick...

just looking for opinions and maybe any other ideas..

also any idea's on how to mount that mach 1 scoop..since its a 2.5" raise hood i cant see mounting it atop the motor, wouldnt sit up high enough into the hole of the hood, so possibly mount it to the hood? with what rivets? ugh :dontknow:

i like the size of that hood, but not a fan of the stock gt scoops on the side, didnt that company make the oem ford hoods?

i really want an exact replication of a mach 1 hood for an sn95...would be cool to land one and someone shape a factory mach 1 hood to fit an sn95..but i see that costing alot with an oem hood..plus this whole cars going to original so i guess going a little different with a cobra r hood base is ok

i wish i wasnt the only one to think of this..would love to see a picture of one..yeah i know about the cobra r svo...imo i hate that hood!

What about the cdc shaker?

from what ive seen im not impressed..looks like a stock hood with a shaker on it. i like the cowl idea. plus that setup is relatively expensive..i paid $400 for the hood and $50 for the shaker! cant buy a cdc unit for that price..lol

so u want a big vinyl sticker?

im actually thinking now that just using a factory mach 1 vinyl will look best rather than a huge vinyl to fill in the whole upper cowl!

With a 2 1/2" cowl hood, the Mach setup won't look right, especially if you don't even plan on making it functional
