If your doing a cam. I have to say my tfs1 with my 1.72 are a blast. If your getting a fox lake shortblock might as well send those heads there and get them ported and ask them what they would recommend for a cam. I know they do porting of intakes also so might want to see all they offer and make the next step wise. It could be only 500-1k more but 50 hp more will make that that much more bigger and you wont even think about it much then.
True... I just got a lot of cash wrapped up in this car already lol...
And this is the set up ill be using,
Trick flow upper and lower
Gt40 x306 heads
Tfs stage 1 cam
1.6 rr
C&l Cai with 76 mm maf cal. 24
24 lb injectors
75 mm tb
Ceramic headers
And that may be it lol can member
I dont have alot of experience with SN95's but I do with SBF in general. I have never made good power with the TF stage 1 or 2 cams. Id personally stay away allthough it seems some here are happy with it. Also the stock 94/95 cams are garbage. I'd definitely not stay with stock if doing heads. And a custom grind from a reputable cam guy is best however....If you are on a budget that will cost you a bit extra. But a custom grind for your want sand needs is a best bet..if not...
The anderson N/A cams are pretty sweet. The N41 is a nice piece. As for the 306...Unless you need a shortblock or plan on upping compression you really arent going to get much out of that. I can see you getting around 300rwhp with the gt40x a decent cam and everything else the doctor ordered to make it work. Good luck!
Also..No the gt40x arent super high flowing heads...But they will do you well for a nice street car.
