Hey everyone.

Well, a few weeks ago I got my heater core replaced thanks to the help I got from this board. While the center console was out of the car, I decided to do the foglight mod. After I got the car back together, I also put in some new Sylvania Silverstar foglight bulbs. Well, about a week later, the left one burned out on me..... and it was a new bulb. I need to get some new bulbs, but I wanted to know what are the brightest foglight bulbs that I can get for my car. It is a 98 GT with the stock foglights. What are the brightest bulbs that I can get that aren't HID's (cant afford the HID kit) and that fit the stock connector and harness? Opinions? and where can I get them? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Also, I would prefer the bulb to light up white or yellow. I guess it really doesn't matter that much because I have amber foglight covers on the car right now. The brighter the better.

um, to be honest, all "regluar" bulbs suck. i messed around with getting all different types of bulbs for my car before i finally made the choice to go HIDs, and they all suck in comparison. but since you dont want HIDs just yet, i would recomend you shop around ebay and get some HID look-a-likes. these are the ones that have worked the best for me, way better than the sylvania Silverstars, and they are usually about 1/2 the price.

only downside is that you run the risk of melting the harness whenever you get the HID look-a-like bulbs.

I have a nice set for sale in the classifieds. :thumb: I only changed them to go with yellow to be different.

There's a 50 Watt bulb out there, #885 maybe. $9.00 at Autozone. They make the fog lights actually work! They fit the stock harness and the stock fog light, but not enough wattage to overload the wiring. :thumb:
