Hey All,

I'm new around here and hope to get some help from like minded folks. I'm designing a set of louvers for the rear window of the 94-98 mustangs and need some feedback on the design. I'm still tinkering with them at this point and would like to know if they need major or minor modifications from folks that actually own the model year car in question. Or if you think they need a total redesign. I'm kinda taking a shot in the dark here since what I may think looks cool on my car others may not.

Please let me know what you think or if you have some suggestions as to how to improve them. I have a few photos up on facebook.

I wanted to like them so bad I even got a set of aluminum ones and tried them on. It didn't take long to figure out I didn't like them in the end and took them off and sold them. I might still have pics if you are curious but I think I got rid of them all.

I am hoping to order the moldmaking supplies to do my quarter windows that I made a while back. This set is out of wood/fillers so I hope to make a mold that I can then make a copy out of FG or CF. Of course with making a mold I would be able to make more then one, so if anyone is interested please pm me as I have wondered. I don not want to post-jack but I am sure pics are in order if you missed it, it was a while ago but I just got the cash for the mold supplies as they are not cheap.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the feedback. The Louvers on the car in the photo haven't been painted yet, I'm still tweeking the design. I need to make them a bit taller to fill up the window more toward the rear. I did have a customer buy a similar set about two years ago and he did paint them to match the car. Can't seem to find the photo at the moment though. As for the other model years, I'm working on them as well. Not to mention a few other cars from a nameless government owned automotive manufacturer.

I like the ones in the 2nd set of pics better than the ones in the Facebook-pictures. They definitely flow with the shape of the car.

Personally I wouldn't put them on my car though. Not only because it would ruin the "drop-shape" of the side windows, but more so because of a safety point of view (reduced visibility - our roads are less spacious and normally busier than in the US).

But I think you would sell some, and it would look nice especially on a bright colored car (red, yellow, white - probably better than on your dark green Mustang).
