I bought a se tof roush racing LCA's and they have the hard polyurathane bushings on each end. I heard that its bad to have poly bushings on both ends cause it dosent allow ANY deflection and is bad for a street car. is this true? my car is a street car so will these cause any problems to my drivetrain or rear end? will i just lose cornering ability or can these cause damage to my car? is there any way to change the bushings ? thanks

MoonlightGT:

The poly bushings will be fine for street use. There will be more noise transmitted into the cabin so be prepared (some people don't like it). It is the Delrin bushings that are not so good for street use.

The new LCA's will plant the rear end better on hard acceleration as well as helping with cornering traction. Maximum Motorsports has a great write-up on LCA's and bushing types.

Get those bad boys installed!

I installed the EXACT same one's you have... got them off ebay as well. They installed very easily, and I dont hear any noise (put them on my mom's GT) and if it were noisy, she would be bitching at me.... go for it!!!

You heard wrong.

The control arms with the solid bushings are the ones I would not recommend for the street!

Poly on the axle side is retarded IMO...i prefer Sperical on the axle side and poly on the body side
