Depending on drop you may need c/c plates, some people get away without them and some need them. I'd plan on getting them so you can do it right the first time.

yea... if its over 1.5 or so i would spring for the plates

and its not hard to get the springs out... the a-arm swngs down far enough to get it out... just unbolt the shock and let her down...brake line MIGHT be in the way, if it is just undo caliper from bracket and swing it out of the way.

Rear is easy as well... just drop the lower control arms, the rear bolt where it connects to the axle tube, then swing both of the arms down with the sway bar still attached.

Some time zone
you CAN get away with 2inch drop springs without a C/C kit....but it will wear out the inner side of the tire on the front eventually.....
A buddy of ours installed the INTRAX 2 inch drop springs on his 03 GT ragtop, and didnt use the C/C plates, but overtime his front tires wore out.....
At that low of a drop, not only are C/C plates are required to get, I would also upgrade the outer tie rod ends to something like the Steeda or BAER or Competition Engineering or whomever else that makes one: Bump Steer Kit.........
That way it keeps the front end geometery from being totally out of proportion......

IMO,
so 1.25 drop, u really dont need a C/C kit or Bump Steer Kit
1.5 drop, optional to get a C/C kit and/or bump steer kit
2inch drop, definately go with C/C kit and bump steer kit, as $$ allows.....

That was the hardest part for me..any suggestions on how to do it easier?

I had to bring mine down to a shop and get it impacted off.

probably your best bet for now. if your gonna do it, you might as well do it right the first time.

not really man... i just unbolted her. I didnt have a REAL hard time with it, it was kind of a PITA but not too bad, and i was by myself.

I had a harder time with my driver side caliper bolts, they didnt want to budge!! LMAO
