Mach 1 hood on 94-98

I don't want to take a hood directly off a mach 1 and bolt it up but cut the piece off the mach hood an fiberglass it to a 94-98 GT hood. The only thing is I somehow have to mount the shaker scoop to the hood because I have a 94. Anyone see or do this or have any suggestions?

mounting a shaker hood on the hood itself kinda defeats the purpose imo..

They make a shaker conversion for some SN95s don't they? I know I've seen some around.

Well they only work on the 96-98 and their like $800

I was going to do that when I had the shaker... dont think it wouldve been too hard. I found a mach 1 hood with damage on the sides for $150. The hood has a bottom layer and a top layer so it is possible. Will take time and skill, but could be done.

If you're not bolting the SHAKER to the engine then why bother, all you're going to have is a fake ass hood scoop. Why not just go buy an 04 GT hood scoop and tape it on, same thing and a lot cheaper.

it's much more looks than function.

it's old school thinking.

I don't think it does anything for power because you have to rought it to the Maf, then back into the IM.

Maf's are designed to draw through, bursts of air mess up the readings.

yeah thats true, but they had to connect it to the intake so it was at least hooked up. The shaking scoop is cool though but just bolted to the hood would be stupid.
