RWHP does not equal ET, lap Times, throttle response, or dick length or diameter anyway. So basically, it means, literally, nothing at all.

uh yeah because hp and tq have nothing to do with how fast the car accelerates and how it performs up top

Not as much as you think, if I can run a 13.4 with 178 rwhp in a 3500 lb car, it ain't about the power.

suspension>power

everything depends on what the car is being used for

my car personally -- gears/DR's >power>suspension
my suspension is worthless on street tires, but when the dr's are on; it hauls balls

It's utterly pointless to bore out a perfectly good motor. You'd see 5hp LOL
Im debating if i want to put forged pistons in it, im going to run nos like 150shot also it would just be refreshing the motor so it doesnot burn and more oil

I think you failed to mention that you were burning oil. If you want to refresh you engine before you start spraying it, you could either
just have the cylinders rehoned (leaving it a 302)and re-ring your pistons, or go your mentioned route of boring it, then installing larger pistons.
either way the best advice i can give is do not take shortcuts, and do not take the cheap route when assembling an engine.

Having the cylinders rehoned, generally leaves them at the high end of the clearance. I don't recomend it.

check it prior. Boring a motor out is like I said, pointless unless you really require the name and number of a 306-308. Throw in a set of forged rods and pistons, ARP hardware, blue print and have everything cleaned, and new everywhere possible, then it will be worth it. I wouldn't consider throwing a sn95 5.0 motor together without a good set of rods and pistons unless it was going to be stock.

they or correct i had 125000+ miles on my 95 5.0 i pulled motor(burnt #5 piston)installed new forged pistons rings bearings, gaskets with a good hone job depending on what rigs you go with will tell you which hone to use either bead or stone.anyway i have about 5,000 miles with a sc 10# stage 3 cam tfs stage 3 heads r intake rest of your usual mods and i have beat on this motor with stock tune but safe timingand lots of fuel(i dont recomend not tuning if sc)that just tells you how strong a fact set up with forged pistons if you dont get over the 500hpzone and a safe tune.hope my troubles have helped you ps i have around 500 bucks in short block its in the combo good luck

i dont care about the 306 part, it is just the pistons are cheaper in the 30 over

damn someone can drive

It wasn't me, it was the fact that I could dump the clutch at 5k and the car would just leave the line. Ever see a car nearly pull a tire on the way to a blazing 13 second run? Lol.

That was my goal in 99 though, lol et. In 2006 my goal was a nice handling car, and by contrast, my car barely ran 11's with 500 rwhp.
