MAF Question (ive searched but nothing)

Heres my situation, I just bought (my first mustang) a 94 GT 5.0 but the motor is rebuilt with 93 GT 5.0 heads and intake manifold. So I was told. Im getting a code for my MAF but im wondering if there is a difference in MAFs from 94 to 93? The one thats on there is one for a 93, but im wondering if i should be running the one for the 94.. I also have a 70mm BBK TB, H-pipe, 3.73s and MSD ign ..

what computer is in the car? the 1993 maf is bound to the computer.

Use the '94 MAF if you are using the '94 PCM. You cannot change these things willy nilly. The PCM is programmed to specific parameters.

Yeah I found out that it is the 94 computer... Looks like im running the wrong maf then... Thanks

Just fyi, the 93 GT heads and intake are not performance upgrades. hope the guy didnt sell it you saying that. heads are exactly the same, and the only differance in the intake is the bolted on elbow.

Anyway, I'm glad you got it figured out.
