MAF Question...Please help

Would a bad MAF cause my car to stall??

It most certainly COULD, but there are also several other things that could make your car stall too, the MAF is just one. You will need to pull codes to see where your problem is.

Took it to the dealer today because my car left me stranded. The pulled the codes and the told me my MAF was bad. But i wasn't sure if the car could stall due to a bad MAF. You know how mechanics lie about things.

I was having some stalling issues and once I cleaned the MAF and IAC everything worked alot better without the stalling :dunno:

Does it stall then start back up. Or does it take awhile before it starts? Could be your stator in the dizzy.

would start then stall start then stall again. I let it sit for 30 mins then it started again.

my maf didn't go bad but it was dirty and was causing drivibility probs and a cel . when the dizzy went the car was stalling for no aparent reason and with no cel's. do you have a k&n type air filter, the oil on those filters tend to deposit on the maf thus causing bad readings to the puter

No K&N filters. Just the dealer ship telling me that i have a bad MAF.

When my MAF went bad it I would not say stalled. It just ran like full blown crap! To stall to me sounds like you had to once drive OK. It coughed like my chain smoking aunt does! As soon as I replaced it, it ran fine!
