well its time for the regular maintenance to get done, already got the plugs, wires, oil, distributor cap/rotor, cleaning MAF done. so i am going to work on the fuel filter, cleaning iac and cleaning the pcv valve. but...i cant figure out where the hell any of them are? i kno im stupid so dont waste your time calling me it. and ive spent hours researching it on many different forums and all i found were procedures for cleaning but no pictures. so i was just wondering if someone would be kind enough to post some pictures where each of these are at because my engine bay is so damn cluttered at the moment everything is starting to look the same.

thanks for all the help in advance, just a couple quick picks is all i need

**and btw, i have done a egr and smog pump delete if this helps any**

Go buy yourself a Haynes or Chilton's manual. Every weekend warrior mechanic needs one, and it will provide you all of this information in great detail with photographs.

Carb cleaner to clean carbon build up. Not sure if auto parts don't, if you are really concerned you can always hit up dealer ship.

I don't know if you can get the screen from autoparts stores. I had to get mine from ford.

You want carb cleaner on the IAC. Make sure the plunger movies up and down.

Fuel filter on the foxes were in front of the fuel tank. Above the rear axle. Haven't done it yet on my sn-95 so I can't help ya there. But thats where i would look.

ok thanks. already got that and cleanend it up. and found the fuel filter to, exactly where you stated, right in front of the fuel tank tucked up in there. do i need a ford tool to take it out??

and my buddy helped me figure out where the PCV valve was but as he was pulling it out, he snapped the t merge valve that connected all the vacuum hoses for the PCV! does any regular autoparts stores carry the t valves and the new vacuum hoses?? im going to just replace them since they are stiff as heck.

there is a little plastic clip that you remove with a screw driver the new fuel filter should come with 2 of them.

then the line just pulls off.

Make sure you trip the inertia switch and crank the engine to remove fuel pressure.

The thing is most auto stores will not have a listing for that part. So unless they know what they are looking for they won't know what you need.

question about the screen. i replaced the the pcv and didnt bother with the screen because it looked pretty clean and so i just didnt bother. is it supossed to be recessed sitting under the gromet?? it was beyond reachable for ANYTHING. how do you get it out? i hope mine isnt stuck down there:(

and any other info and draining the fuel lines before i get it all over my face when pulling the filter off??

To pull the screen out I pulled the grommet out then got a magnet out and pulled the screen out that way. I don't see getting it out any other way than with a magnet.

As far as the fuel filter goes. The fuel shouldn't "Shoot" out when you disconnect the lines maybe for a second or two it will pour out but it should just drip after that. Maybe loosen the gas cap that might help a little.

I used a screw to get my screen out. I didn't think a magnet would be strong enough to stick to the screen.

I was talking about tripping the inertia switch in the trunk so the fp doesn't run then start the car. It may not even start or may start for a second. That way there isn't any pressure in the line.

Even tho the pressure should bleed down after a while. Just something I do to help with the mess.
